Real data

Series A comes from real market history. Anonymization removes identifying details while preserving ordered price and volume data.

Sealed segment

The Sealed Segment is an undisclosed continuous market sequence evaluated under identical costs and slippage.

Validity Gates determine eligibility.HiveQ Score ranks eligible Entries.

Each Entry must pass four checks. Eligible Entries receive a HiveQ Score based on seven weighted metrics and a complete report.

  1. 01

    Entry

One submitted strategy for sealed evaluation.

  2. 02

    Validity Gates

    Four pass-or-fail checks determine eligibility.

  3. 03

    HiveQ Score

Seven weighted metrics rank the eligible field.

  4. 04

    Standings

Entries are ranked. Your highest HiveQ Score sets your placement.

01

Closed trades

At least 200 closed trades

A minimum sample size reduces small-sample variance.

Closed tradesFail
Measured
84
Threshold
≥ 200

Entry not ranked. 84 closed trades, minimum is 200.

02

Distinct position bars

Positions opened on at least 60 different bars

Positions must open across enough distinct bars.

Bars with an openFail
Measured
28
Threshold
≥ 60

Entry not ranked. Positions opened on 28 bars, minimum is 60.

03

Single-trade PnL share

No single trade above 20% of total profit

No single trade may exceed the allowed share of total profit.

Largest trade shareFail
Measured
41%
Threshold
≤ 20%

Entry not ranked. A single trade accounts for 41% of total PnL. Limit is 20%.

04

Determinism

Same result every time it runs

Repeated runs must match. Lookahead is not permitted.

Result drift between runsFail
Measured
3.2%
Threshold
≤ 0%

Entry not ranked. Results are not reproducible across runs.

The numbers above are examples of failed checks. Position size limits and lookahead checks run automatically.

Reproducible scoring

Each result records the scorer version, settings, and supporting evidence.

Relative ranking

Each metric compares an Entry with the other eligible Entries. The configured weights combine those positions into HiveQ Score.

Overfit Gap compares both segments.Lower values show more consistent results.

Subtract the Sealed Segment composite from the Research Segment composite to calculate the gap.

Reading the gap

A larger gap means performance changed more between the Research and Sealed Segments. The values above are examples.

Protected evidence

Your report shows the Overfit Gap and every metric. It never shows sealed data or hidden run IDs.

Every Entry receives a result.Your report covers all submitted Entries.

The report combines HiveQ Score, metric results, Validity Gate evidence, and Entry details.

Review the Trial 01 rules. They apply to every participant.

The rules define access, submissions, evaluation, disqualification, and publication.

  1. Trial 01 is open by invitation only and is capped at five participants.
  2. Participants compete individually. Trial 01 has no teams.
  3. The Research Window opens and closes at the published times. Late submissions are not accepted. No extension is granted for any reason, including problems in a participant's own environment.
  4. Each participant may submit a maximum of five Entries. A participant may mark one Entry as Primary for their own reference. Primary has no effect on scoring or ranking.
  5. Every submitted Entry is scored against the Sealed Segment. Standings rank Entries. A participant places on their highest-scoring Entry and may hold more than one row.
  6. Dry Runs against the Research Segment are unlimited and free.
  7. The Sealed Segment is never distributed, previewed, or described beyond this page. Each Entry runs against it exactly once.
  8. Series A is anonymized. Any attempt to identify the instrument, the date range, or the asset class, by external data matching or any other method, is grounds for disqualification. The platform will not confirm or deny any such identification.
  9. Strategies must be deterministic. An Entry that returns materially different results across identical runs is void.
  10. An Entry must clear every Validity Gate to be ranked. A gate failure voids that Entry only. The remaining Entries are unaffected.
  11. Any attempt to read the Sealed Segment, infer it from platform behaviour, or exploit a platform defect is grounds for immediate disqualification.
  12. Submitted code must be the participant's own work. Open-source libraries are permitted. Submitting another participant's strategy is not.
  13. Participants keep ownership of their submitted code. HiveQ keeps the right to run, evaluate, and reference submissions for the Trial.
  14. HiveQ may correct a scoring error after publication and reissues Standings when it does.
  15. Where these rules are silent or unclear, the interpretation by HiveQ is final.

Review Trial 01 before requesting access.

Trial 01 is invitation-only and capped at five participants.
